Post a traumatic phase in my life which forced me to notice my own perceived limitations as an individual, I decided to seek support and counselling from Dr. (Ms.) Diya Kapoor @ MWell in Feb / March of this year. After 10 months and numerous sessions of one-to-one interaction, I can confidently and proudly say that it was one of the best decisions of my life. The initial few sessions were geared towards trying to identify the problem through diagnostic tests and discussions, and the sessions post that were her guiding me through techniques (CBT / Mindfulness / Relaxation etc) to enable me to tackle my problems. The sessions got more freewheeling as and when there were signs of progress and improvement. When I look back now, I see massive difference in how I was back then to how I am currently. For me, the best part has been that she has been extremely kind throughout and yet gently firm at the same time, the sort of balanced professionalism you expect from a psychologist. She would be quick to point out when I wasn’t putting in enough efforts into my therapy, and at other times, genuinely gave praise and was happy when there were tangible improvements. She remained non-judgemental and always gave a free reign whenever I wanted to share anything. It’s the sort of thing that helped me open up about my issues and myself quite early. The timings were always as per my convenience, and there was adequate time given in each session. I shall conclude by expressing my gratitude to you Doc, and I wish that more people like me who face these issues but are afraid to seek professional help because of the stigma or unawareness get benefit from your support and guidance. P.S. – The Greater Kailash clinic is situated inside a house in a narrow lane, right behind Summer Fields School (it is the first house in the lane). There is a board outside the house which would help you to identify the location. The entry to the clinic is through a door on the landing overlooking the narrow lane. The door can be accessed by climbing 6 odd steps immediately to the right of the entry gate of the house.

Almost two months back I started seeing Diya for various emotional and anxiety related issues-she discourages labelling, so I am going to refrain from using any official names/labels here.
In a short span of time, I've seen a marked improvement in my mental health and general well-being and the therapy sessions with her have proven to be incredibly helpful. She's been more like an 'anchor' to my ship, in very difficult times. My diagnosis is a little complicated and highly stigmatized - people and sometimes even, practitioners are not very well equipped to diagnose them correctly, let alone handle them. She's done a great job at hitting the nail on the head and working on my issues with me.
Of course, any mental health issue requires a lot of work and more importantly, commitment from both sides. I found her on practo after a lot of research and her qualifications aside- what really distinguishes her from the other practitioners in her field is that she's extremely patient, dedicated, understanding and most importantly, mature.
I distinctly remember my first conversation with her, when she told me: "I can't promise you that I can 'cure' your issues, but if you're willing to work towards this, I can help you manage it better- you will definitely lead a better life than this." All I can say is that I'm more than two months into therapy and I already see the difference in the quality of my life!
Often, we ignore mental health issues and dismiss them - but if you recognize that you're facing some issues, please reach out. If you see a loved one experiencing difficulties in coping or managing certain things in life, please help out. Self-educate. Spread the awareness. Please do not ignore any warning signs.
Dr. Diya has helped me a lot in several ways. Helped me to sharp my personality, including my strengths and weaknesses, thoughts and beliefs, my emotions, and motivations. Some of the things which I have learned especially through the process was to be self-directed and self-reliable and it has helped me in many ways. I have been totally transformed and it is evident. The more I am aware of my thoughts the more I can balance my emotions now. The most beautiful thing about the therapies was that I could connect well to Dr. Diya, the communication was clear and I’m thankful to her in many ways. Every bit of my sessions has helped and is still helping me because I have learned so much. My experience was wholesome.
I think almost all therapists are capable of handling common and regular issues but are quite uncomfortable with complicated and lengthy issues like childhood complex trauma. In general, there is a lack of readiness in therapist community to offer genuinely validation, warm, friendly and empathetic yet professional therapy to heal deep wounds of childhood through love.
As of now, I don't wish to get childhood complex trauma healing done by therapists anymore. I have wasted lot of money & time in vain. I am anguished.

I visited her sometime back and didn't get a chance to write a review. For a person who is suffering through depression and anxiety, one needs a patient and attentive doctor. Half of the time while I'm explaining my problem she is checking her phone, playing with her nails, I expect full attention because it is not a free therapy session. And someone with my kind of nature is definitely not going to open up to a person like that. Not worth the money or time at all. And please stop advising to write down your feelings and emotions* ******** *** *** ****** ** ******* **** ****
I've been in therapy with Dr. Diya for about 2 months now and I'm glad I found her. I admire Dr. Diya's clear and precise approach towards the concerned issue. I wasn't really sure about therapy, in general, in the beginning. However, gradually, practising the skills I have learnt from her have regained my faith in the process. Receptivity of the therapy may vary across individuals but I realise that one needs to believe in the process of it. I thank Dr. Diya with all my heart for her patient efforts.

When I first thought about taking a counselling session, I was a little dicey about the whole thing. * ******* ***** ******* ** **** ***** ** ****** *** then, my father pushed me to go for a session to see for myself. I attended a session and already felt lighter. Then, one session led to another and within a week, I can see significant change in my behavioural pattern. Not only am I seeing things in a more positive light, Ms. Diya has helped me through therapy in changing the way I am living. Therapy, in my opinion, is something everyone going through any amount of disturbance in their life should consider.
I had been suffering from OCD from the past 7-8 years. In the last 2 years it had started taking control of my life. This is when I thought of consulting a psychologist. I found Dr. Diya Nangia Kapoor on justdial. My experience with Dr. Diya has been great. She carried out the therapy sessions very effectively. She was very dedicated and committed towards my case and her tireless efforts has helped me recover from this disorder. I'm very thankful to her, for my life is back on track now. Thank you Dr. Diya!
I would recommend her to anyone in need.

Happy with: Explanation of the health issue
Anxiety and dysfunctional thought patterns had caused a severe decrease in my daily academic and social functioning over the past two-three years. I was increasingly feeling disheartened and incapable. Unlike the couple of psychologists I had attempted to see in the past, Dr. Diya has tried to understanding my issues AND my goals right from the first session. She has helped me work on myself in a focused manner. Her approach has been empathetic, engaging and educational; the mindfulness and thought management exercises have helped me understand what might be going on in my mind at a given moment. She was also willing to sit down with my family and discuss how they might need to adjust to effectively support my recovery process. Most importantly, she has enabled me to believe that I really can get better despite the past. Her honesty helps you realistically understand how much time and effort will be required to get back on track of your well-being. I’m positive that we can carry on this progress further so I manage my anxiety issues not just in the short-term, but also in the long-term.

My visit was very brief. After getting to know that I am 62 and on a very nominal doze of Paxidep CR 6.25 and Lonazep 0.25 she referred to full fledged psychiatrist associate. In her opinion there is no harm to remain solely on psychiatric medication for rest of your life if you have attained a particular age (say 58-60 yrs if I read her correctly) even if the patient is willing to live without the medicines. Atleast a psychologist should be motivated to treat the subject irrespective of the considerations other than non-cooperation on part of the subject.
